Zurich's city council gave the Sechseläutenplatz Christmas permit for 2026 to Future Events GmbH after five groups applied, and the Wienachtsdorf that ran on the square from 2015 to 2025 lost the site. The new market's centrepiece is a walkable Advent wreath 50 metres across, built of Swiss wood, with a platform about five metres up. Zürich Tourism lists about 100 stalls with a lean toward local and sustainable goods, and a fondue chalet.
Zürich Tourism gives the fondue chalet room for up to 400 guests. The organizer had not published opening hours when this page was checked, and the square sits about 1.4 km from the main station by Zürich Tourism's count, or a short tram ride to Bellevue.
