Access and crowds
- Getting around
- The organizer publishes no access details.
- Busiest
- Saturday nights fill up for the DJ party in the Salettl pavilion, and Tuesday evenings bring students for cut-price punch.
- Quieter
- Weekend mornings from 11:00 belong to families.
The market fills the tree-lined courtyard of the old General Hospital, which now belongs to the university. Design and craft stalls mix with Austrian food, and a stage and DJs carry the evenings.
Families should come on a weekend. Kasperl puppet shows, a magician, a Christmas workshop and a bakery for kids run in the Josefinialm, and there are rides and a fairy-tale forest outside.
Worth knowing
- Book a curling lane ahead if you're coming as a group; MAGMAG takes reservations through its website.
- Show a student card on Tuesday evenings for discounted punch.
