Schwarzenbergplatz Christmas Market

MAGMAG builds this new market around the Hochstrahlbrunnen, the big fountain at the south end of Schwarzenbergplatz, with the Palais Schwarzenberg behind it. Light installations run through the fountain and the gardens in front of the palace. The stalls sell crafts, and the food is Austrian, from Punsch and roast chestnuts to fried potatoes and hot dishes.

The square sits on the way from the Ring to the Belvedere, so it fits neatly into an evening that starts at Karlsplatz. The organizer's tip is the ballroom of lights, where bands play.
