- The square is a bus hub with a stop and a car park opposite, so you arrive with almost no walking.

- The tourist board pitches the whole market as the calm alternative to the Domplatz.
The huts stand in front of Schloss Mirabell, across the square from the church of St Andrä, on the new-town side of the Salzach. The station is a few minutes away on foot, and buses stop right beside the stalls. The tourist board describes the stock as unusual goods along with punch, Glühwein and snacks.
Come at 17:15 on a Wednesday or at the weekend for the brass groups outside the palace. From there the Mirabell gardens lead you down towards the river and the old-town markets beyond it.

- The market runs until New Year's Eve, a day before the Domplatz market closes. It keeps shorter hours of 10:00 to 19:00 between 27 and 31 December.
