Taiko runs this market as the second half of its Prague pair, so the stalls, the svařák and the opening hours match what you find on Old Town Square. The stalls line the lower half of Václavské náměstí, which is the end nearest Můstek. It works best as a walk-through market on your way into the Old Town, since Na Můstku and Melantrichova lead from the bottom of the boulevard straight to the Old Town Square tree.
Taiko lists sausages, grilled cheese and pancakes among the food on offer, and svařák in a hot cup is the drink most people carry. Prague City Tourism lists the market with daily hours of 10:00 to 22:00, and the organizer has a separate stage programme page for this square.
Worth knowing
- Get off at Můstek on metro lines A and B and you are at the market's lower end.
- The same holiday pattern as Old Town Square applies. In 2025 Taiko closed at 14:00 on 24 December and at 15:00 on 31 December.
