Things to do in Annaberg-Buchholz
The town sets its Christmas huts on the Markt in the timber style of the Erzgebirge. The market's elves wrap presents at the market post office and run a children's cinema, and every year the cooks choose one old local dish to serve in their own versions.
The St. Annenkirche closes the Große Bergparade on Advent 4, when more than 1,000 people in miners' costume march and the bands play a final concert in front of the church. In the Bergkirche St. Marien a miners' nativity of 32 carved figures, each about 1.20 metres tall, was finished in 2015.
