Potsdamer Weihnachtszauber

The market runs in a line from the Luisenplatz through Potsdam's Brandenburger Tor and down the Brandenburger Straße shopping street to the Bassinplatz. On the Luisenplatz a village of white pagoda tents sells crafts and delicatessen beside a jazz and swing stage. The city's biggest Christmas tree stands by the gate next to an old-fashioned carousel. In 2025 the whole stretch held about 250 stalls.

Save energy for the far end. The north side of the Bassinplatz has the ice rink, children's rides and a large Erzgebirge hut, and the south side has the Ferris wheel and the main stage. Until 2024 this stretch ran under another organizer as the Blauer Lichterglanz, a name you will still see on older listings.
