Kraków's fair suits anyone who wants a big market on one of Europe's great squares, with Polish food and folk music on the stage. Prices are its weak point, since a small mulled wine cost 35 PLN in 2025. The 2026 fair opens on Friday 27 November and runs into January 2027.

The fair takes up the part of Rynek Główny by the Town Hall Tower, and in 2025 it held 105 craft and food kiosks. Traders came from across Poland and from Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary. Look for hand-painted glass baubles on the craft side, along with ceramics, carved wood and goods made of wool and linen.
Food draws the queues. At the 2025 opening Radio Kraków priced żurek (sour rye soup) at 35 PLN and maczanka po krakowsku (a pork roll soaked in gravy) at 45 PLN. Artim names grilled oscypek (smoked sheep's cheese) with cranberry and a cup of grzaniec galicyjski among the fair's classics, and the sweet stalls sell caramel nuts and traditional gingerbread.
The stage in front of the stalls carries folk programmes through Advent, with carol processions and towns from Małopolska showing their Christmas customs. In 2025 the city put concrete barriers around the fair for the first time to keep vehicles out, and police and city guards patrolled the square.
