Zelný trh suits families and anyone in Brno outside the short city-office season, because the Brno-střed district runs it from 13 November to 31 December 2026. The trade-off is a spread-out layout, with the stalls on the old Cabbage Market and the ice rink and wheel several streets north on Moravské náměstí.

- Free public toilets on Zelný trh were open 9:00 to 23:00 in 2025, and the PARQ espresso bar in the Moravské náměstí park had free toilets from 8:00 to 22:00.
Zelňák, as people in Brno call the Cabbage Market square, carries 125 stalls this season, and the district says more than half sell handmade goods from craftspeople and folk makers. A decorated tree stands in the square and the Parnas fountain is lit at night. A stage runs a cultural programme every day, and the Dětská vesnička (children's village) gives younger visitors their own corner.
Brno-střed spreads the rest of its Christmas north to Moravské náměstí. The Jošt statue becomes a charity hub with a straw hill, and the park next to it holds a 33-metre observation wheel and an ice rink with skates to rent. Kapucínské náměstí has a lit train, and Římské náměstí hosts what the district calls a Christmas festival of bad habits.
Seznam Zprávy priced Brno's market food in December 2025: svařák mostly cost 70 CZK for two decilitres, and one winery on Zelný trh poured it for 50 CZK.
