Baden-Baden sets its Christkindelsmarkt in the Kurgarten in front of the Kurhaus, between the colonnades and the Trinkhalle. Wochenblatt Reporter counted more than 100 decorated stalls in 2025, selling crafts, Glühwein, Flammkuchen and Black Forest food. The market runs from 26 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, daily from 11:00 to 21:00, which makes it the only market in this guide's Black Forest list still open between Christmas and Epiphany.
The Himmelsbühne stage has choirs and bands every day, and the Trinkhalle's long colonnade holds a nativity display beside a decorated tree. In the Kurpark an avenue of backlit church windows glows after dark, and a fairy-tale lane tells a Christmas story along its length. In 2025 eleven glass igloos served fondue, and the market had a historic children's carousel.
Baden-Baden station sits in Oos, well out of the centre, and regular buses run from it into town. Drivers can use the Kurhaus garage under the Kurhaus, or park at the Cineplex park-and-ride, where in 2025 one parking ticket covered up to five people on bus line 205 into the centre.
