Seiffen calls itself the toy village, and its craft workshops have passed their woodwork down through several generations. The Seiffener Weihnacht puts more than 40 stalls along the streets of the centre, and the village's craft shops open alongside them.
Advent here runs on processions. A small miners' parade opens the market on 28 November, and the Große Bergparade on 12 December brings more than 400 people in miners' costume. The village uses its own mug, the Dippl, with the Seiffen church in relief on the front.
