Cologne Cathedral holds its Christmas Eve Mass at midnight on 24 December 2026 and a Pontifical Mass at 10:00 on Christmas Day, and every service is free to attend. Sightseeing outside services now costs €12 for adults.

The cathedral stands beside Köln Hbf, with the Christmas market on Roncalliplatz at its south side. Sunday Masses run at 07:00, 08:30, 10:00, 12:00 and 18:30, and weekday Masses through the morning and at 18:30. Small bags and day packs up to 40 by 35 by 15 centimetres are allowed, and rolling suitcases and large rucksacks are not.
