For one weekend in December the whole old town turns into a market. Stalls run up from the Neckargasse past the Holzmarkt below the Stiftskirche, through the Marktgasse to the Marktplatz in front of the painted Rathaus, and out along the Haaggasse and the lanes around the Nonnenhaus. On Saturday and Sunday it spreads further to Schmiedtorstraße and Haagtorplatz.
Local clubs and charities take stalls beside the commercial traders. The city picks the Feuerzangenbowle on Haagtorplatz at 19:00 on the Friday as its highlight. Children get carousels on the Marktplatz and at the Nonnenhaus, plus theatre on the Sunday.

- Combine it with chocolART only if you come twice; the chocolate festival runs the week before, from 1 to 6 December 2026.
- Wear shoes with grip, because the lanes are steep and can be wet.
