The Ravenna Gorge Christmas Market fills a narrow side valley of the Höllental near Breitnau, and the Höllentalbahn's 40-metre viaduct arches over the stalls. Hochschwarzwald Tourismus runs it Thursday to Sunday from 26 November to 20 December 2026, from 16:00 on Thursdays and from 14:00 on the other days, and the gates shut at 21:00. Tickets cover a slot of about two hours and cost €7.50 for an adult in the afternoon or €9.50 in the evening.
The organizer names stalls selling Black Forest game, trout and ham alongside regional schnapps and crafts, and mobile reception in the gorge is patchy, so many stalls take cash only. The ground is unpaved and steep in places, so wear boots with grip and leave the dog at home, as the organizer advises.
The shuttle bus is the easy way in. Shuttles run from Hinterzarten and Himmelreich stations and from the Kurhaus car park in Titisee, and the ride comes free with a shuttle ticket that includes entry. Seats are guaranteed only on the separately booked shuttle from Freiburg's central bus station (ZOB, stop 7). Drivers need a combined parking and entry ticket, printed and shown behind the windscreen, for a vehicle no bigger than a VW bus.
