From 11 to 13 December 2026 the market spreads to the old town bridge over the Neisse for the Brückenadvent, run with the Polish town of Zgorzelec on the far bank. The ice rink and a curling lane add to the market, and the rink opens a fortnight before the stalls and stays to 3 January 2027. The MDR broadcaster's Christmas market test named Görlitz its winner in 2016 and 2019, the organizer says.
