Düsseldorf spreads its market across seven themed areas, so you walk from one to the next through the Altstadt and up to the Königsallee. Roncalli's Weihnachtspromenade fills the riverside between the Burgplatz and the old harbour with circus wagons, and the Handwerker-Markt between the town hall and the Alte Kämmerei keeps to handmade crafts. Flinger Straße carries the Altstadt-Markt, and the Kö-Bogen and Schadow markets sit up by the shops.
The Wheel of Vision turns on the Burgplatz, and the Kö on Ice rink runs on the Corneliusplatz from 6 November. Düsseldorf keeps its markets open after Christmas until 30 December, with short hours on Christmas Eve and an afternoon opening on the 26th.
