The Christmas Museum suits an older traveller or a collector who wants a quiet hour among antique decorations above the Café Glockenspiel on Mozartplatz. Outside Advent and the Salzburg Festival it opens only from Wednesday to Sunday, and it closes from February to mid-March.
The museum sits above the Café Glockenspiel on Mozartplatz in the old town. A private lift makes it step-free, and the cash desk staff will take you up if you ask. Adult entry cost €9 in 2025, children paid €5 and reduced tickets were €8. The Salzburg Card covers one free visit.
Normal hours are 10:00 to 18:00 from Wednesday to Sunday. In Advent and during the Salzburg Festival it opens every day in the same hours, and on 24 and 31 December it closes at 13:00.
