Families and drivers who want the cathedral market two corners away get the Old Town's only hotel car park here. Its own pages publish no rates, and the budget doubles are only 16 square metres.
Highlights
- The only Old Town hotel with its own car park
- Mozartkino cinema inside the building
- Suites for four or five people
The family-run Kasererbräu has stood on Kaigasse since 1342 and holds four stars. The hotel says only two street corners separate it from Salzburg Cathedral, so the Christkindlmarkt and the fortress Advent market are both close. The Mozartkino in the building is one of the world's oldest working cinemas, and Salzburgers packed it for the premiere of Sissi. Junior Suites sleep four across two rooms, and the Fortress Hohensalzburg suite takes up to five.
The car park a few metres from the entrance has garages and charging points. Reserve a space ahead, and expect €25 to €26 a day, because the hotel's pages quote both. You pass a bollard at Kajetanerplatz and call reception on the intercom for the code.
Worth knowing
- From Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, take trolleybus 3, 5 or 6 to Mozartsteg.
- Reception checks guests in from 15:00 to 22:00 every day.
- Dogs cost €15 a day.
