The Grosses Festspielhaus is the Salzburg Festival's main hall, and in Advent it hosts the Salzburger Adventsingen. Book that ahead, because it plays only three weekends.

The hall is the Salzburg Festival's main house and seats 2,179 people. It stands on the Hofstallgasse, a few minutes' walk from the cathedral squares. Each Advent it stages the Salzburger Adventsingen, a staged programme of Alpine Advent music that has run for more than 75 years.
