St Vitus Cathedral
Katedrála svatého Víta, Václava a Vojtěcha50°05′ N 14°24′ E
St Vitus suits anyone in Prague for Christmas who wants to hear a Mass in Prague's cathedral, and services are free. The trade-off is the climb up to the castle. The Sunday 10:00 Mass is streamed on katedrala.tv if you cannot get up the hill.

The cathedral stands in the third courtyard of Prague Castle, and the castle grounds stay open from 6:00 to 22:00 every day. Visitor hours are shorter, from 9:00 on weekdays and from noon on Sundays, and Masses fill the early mornings. The cathedral has not yet published its 2026 Christmas timetable, so check the bohoslužby page in December before planning around midnight Mass.
Worth knowing
- Sunday Mass at 10:00 is broadcast live on katedrala.tv.
- The cathedral notes that celebrants and service times can change, so recheck the schedule the week you go.
