Christmas Garden Deutschland lights the park of Schloss Pillnitz, where the Saxon electors once spent their summers, with a set route of light installations and music. The organizer redesigns the trail each season, and an ice rink inside is included in the ticket. Food and drink stands line the route.
Tickets carry a half-hour entry window, and you can stay as long as you like once you're in. Prices rise from Friday to Sunday and again over Christmas and New Year, and concessions for students and anyone over 65 apply from Monday to Thursday outside the holiday stretch. Children under 14 need an adult with them.

- Take bus 63 or 83 to Leonardo-da-Vinci-Straße or Pillnitzer Platz, or ride the S-Bahn to Niedersedlitz, bus 88 to the Kleinzschachwitz ferry and the ferry across the Elbe.
- On busy dates a free shuttle bus runs from the Waldcampingplatz Pirna car park, a 15-minute ride.
- Book online: the box office charges 2 euros more and sells nothing once a slot is sold out online.
