The Grand-Place Christmas light show in Brussels plays on the square during Winter Wonders, from 27 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, and it suits anyone who can stand on the square for a short free show after dark. The show projects onto the buildings around the Grand-Place. In 2025 it was a 3D video mapping repeated every half hour through the evening, so if one crowd is too thick you can wait for the next. Watching it costs nothing.
The Christmas tree stands on the square through the season. In 2025 its lights ran from 13:00 to 01:00, and anyone who gave €200 or more to food banks received a handmade piece by Jean-Paul Lespagnard. That year the nativity scene put life-size cloth figures under a glass house modelled on the Royal Greenhouses of Laeken, and it stayed open around the clock.
The town hall tower opened for afternoon and evening climbs in 2025 under the name View Tower Experience. Visitors climbed about 200 spiral steps through light and music to a 360° view, and it worked only with a booking. Watch winterpret.be in November to see whether the climb returns for 2026.
