The Interrail Global Pass suits a long market hop across several countries, say Strasbourg to Munich and on to Vienna, when you would rather not price every leg. Since 9 September 2026 it is the one pass for everyone, wherever you live, because Eurail joined the Interrail brand. In 2026 an adult pays €283 for four travel days in one month in 2nd class, and reservations on fast and night trains cost extra on top.

The Global Pass covers trains in 33 countries, from a handful of travel days in a month to three months in a row. Youth passes cover ages 12 to 27 and senior passes start at 60. Each adult can take up to two children aged 4 to 11 free on a Child Pass, and under-4s need no pass at all.
If your home is in one of the 33 Pass countries, the pass covers only one journey out of your own country and one back. Travellers who live outside the network have no such limit.
German ICE trains run without reservations, and so do Austrian Railjets and most regional trains. French TGVs and every night train need one, and the passholder fare on the trains between Paris and Germany comes to €19.

Since 9 September 2026 anyone can, because Eurail joined the Interrail brand and non-European residents now buy the Interrail Pass too. Residents of the 33 Pass countries get only one outbound and one inbound journey in their home country.
How much is the Interrail Global Pass in 2026?
DB's price list, valid from 5 January 2026, starts at €283 for an adult with four travel days in one month in 2nd class. Youth passes for ages 12 to 27 start at €212 and senior passes from 60 at €255.
Do I need reservations with an Interrail Pass?
On some trains. German ICE trains run without them, while French TGVs and all night trains need one, paid on top of the pass.
