Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof sits well east of the old town, so most people take the U-Bahn under the city to the Altstadt. On foot, head west through the city centre to the Königsallee and cross into the Altstadt. The main market stands on the Marktplatz in front of the town hall, and more markets spread along the streets between there and the Kö.
