Deutschlandticket
Pass
The Deutschlandticket suits a market trip built on regional trains, trams and buses, since it covers all of them across Germany for €63 a month in 2026. Anyone can buy it, visitors included. It runs as a monthly subscription and leaves out the ICE, IC and EC, so pair it with a separate ticket for any long-distance leg.

- Deutschlandticket, one month€63 (2026)
You buy the ticket as a subscription that runs month by month, and it lives on your phone in an app or a digital wallet. To use it for a single month, cancel by the 10th and it ends on the last day of that month. It belongs to one named person, so you cannot pass it on.
It covers buses, trams, U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains and the RB and RE regional trains in 2nd class, whichever company runs them. It leaves out DB Fernverkehr and FlixTrain long-distance trains, including the RE services DB Fernverkehr runs, and transport run mainly for tourists or as a heritage line. A slow regional hop between Nuremberg and Bamberg or Regensburg works on it, and so does a day of trams in Munich.
