Brass players perform Advent music from three towers around the Residenzplatz, and the sound drops onto the market below. Tobi Reiser started the custom in 1952, and the Christkindlmarkt association has run it since 2008. On Wednesdays at 18:00 a young ensemble from the Musikum Salzburg plays on the Domplatz instead.
