The Grossgmain Krampus group performs a pole dance in the Schlosshof and has become a fixed part of the Hellbrunn market. The organizer suggests standing in front of the stairs for the best view. The Krampuswelt exhibition by the Anif Krampus group shows original masks and costumes all season.
On 13 December the Tag der Krampusse brings members of the Anif group out without their masks. They talk about the custom, explain how a Krampus differs from a Percht and let visitors try a mask on, which suits children who are nervous of the run.
Masked runners come right up to the crowd, and some will touch or crowd spectators at the front. Stand further back if you or your children don't want contact, and tell children beforehand what they'll see. Nobody should grab at the costumes or masks.
